The WeCreate Working Group manage the organisation on behalf of its members and are the people to contact if you have any questions or comments.
Paula Browning – Chair
Paula has worked in a diverse mix of sectors having held executive and governance roles in the commercial world, education, sport and the creative industries. She has recently resigned as Chief Executive of Copyright Licensing NZ after 12 years, and is Deputy Chair of ARAFB (Auckland Regional Amenities Funding Board). Paula has been Chair of WeCreate since the organisation was founded, working with a particular focus on digital, data, and copyright for WeCreate’s membership, and she embraces a reputation for not being afraid to ruffle feathers in advocating for Aotearoa’s creative businesses. She loves books, grand babies, yoga, and animals and frequently goes nuts over sports.
Victoria Blood – Leader
Victoria has enjoyed a 40-year career in the international music industry – much of it based in London. During the 1990s she was Head of Marketing and Creative Development at BMG/RCA UK, and also set up BMG’s film, tv, and video arm. In 1997, Victoria co-founded the Byrne Blood Group, which became the pop powerhouse of the time, selling over 20 million records. Intending to semi-retire in NZ in 2004, she instead discovered Gin Wigmore, and managed her until 2010. She has been Chair of the NZ Music Commission since March 2013, Leader of WeCreate since 2015, and joined the NZ Story Group Advisory Board in 2022. She loves music, books, travel, and food.
